Datuk Ir. Dr. Lim Jee Gin obtained his Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and Master of Science (Research study entitled: Important Criteria for Industrialized Building System from the Perspectives of Major Project Participants) from University Putra Malaysia in 1999 and 2003 respectively. In 2016, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Research study entitled: Appropriate Strategic Management Approaches for enhancing Project Performance through adoption of the Industrialized Building System in the Malaysian Construction Sector) horn the City University Malaysia. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (P.Eng) and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (MIEM) since 2006 and a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Association of Building Engineers, United Kingdom since 2020.

Upon graduation in 1999, he began his career as a Project Engineer with Sunway PMI – Pile Construction Sdn Bhd, where he was responsible for implementing quality management system while coordinating and supervising construction activities. He was transferred to Sunway Precast Industries Sdn Bhd as Project Engineer in 2000 and was involved in the construction of government quarters for teachers using full IBS method. He was responsible for pre-construction and planning activities from the initial design stage up to site implementation.

Subsequently, he worked as Civil and Project Engineer for Rekabina Jaya Sdn Bhd (2000 – 2003) where he gained wide and invaluable experience in undertaking feasibility study, detailed project analysis, technical design, engineering consultancy, managing the authority approval processes, contract administration and execution, planning and coordinating the construction phase of a project. He left in 2003 to join ABV Builders Sdn Bhd as a Construction Manager where he was responsible for the overall planning and coordination of construction activities as well as contract administration and execution of building and infrastructure construction projects.

He left to join Nagano Holdings Sdn Bhd in 2004 as a Project Director and was then appointed as Director and shareholder of Nagano Holdings Sdn Bhd and Nestcon Infra Sdn Bhd in 2005 and 2009 respectively. He played an instrumental role in managing the business development and strategies of the company while overseeing its daily operations. He further expanded his involvement as a general earthwork to all types of major civil engineering and infrastructures works and ventured into building construction and property development in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

He left Nagano Holdings Sdn Bhd as Director and Shareholders in February 2017. In June 2017, he and his Board of Directors established a new corporate structure and embarked on a branding revamp in line with the market segmentation for business growth, unveiled as NESTCON GROUP being Construction Service Provider and NESTCON DEVELOPMENT being Property Developer.
